SPJIMR's PGMPW programme's hosted the Unstereotype 2020 event which saw 7 inspiring individuals share their life stories which shattered stereotypes through their sheer determination and will power. The event served to highlight and promote the importance of gender equality and diversity at the workplace and the importance of standing up for your rights and justice to make a difference in society. The powerful stories left a deep mark on the audience and the event was a resounding success.
Ehsaas – The NGO Mela, took place on campus on 24th February. The DoCC and Sustainability Committee had invited 43 self-help groups to set up stalls featuring items like jams and pickles, chocolates, ayurvedic products, handicrafted jewelry, ajarakh and bandhini sarees, kurtis, home linen and much more. The mela was further enlivened with a live counter where patrons could try their hands at pottery and get mehendi applied.
The 4th M.L. Srikanth memorial lecture took place on January 23rd in front of a packed audience of students and faculty at the new auditorium, now fittingly named as the M.L. Srikanth auditorium in an opening ceremony just prior to the commencement of the event. The lecture was given by Arun Maira, former member of Planning Commission of India & former chairman of Boston Consulting Group who quoted Gandhi, Lewis Carroll, Lincoln & Greta Thurnberg to present compelling and thought-provoking narrative on the failing standards of global corporate governance and asked management students to decide what kind of life they want to pursue - "one of learning or earning?"
Select top leaders from across the Indian business spectrum discussed various aspects of the country’s innovation culture at SBAC2020 this past Friday at the Taj Lands End. The meet was attended by the institute’s current post-graduate students, established business leaders, distinguished alumni and influencers.
The were four panel discussions each lasting an hour, speaking about the drivers, enablers, and challenges to inculcating a technology-driven, innovation-first culture in Indian businesses. The quality and insights of the keynote speeches to commence and conclude the conclave added further sheen to what was undoubtedly a successful SBAC2020 conclave. Every talk was further captured graphically on a white board by artist, Santosh Nair.

SPJIMR's Centre for Financial Studies (CFS) organised its third-panel discussion on the topic 'Savings - The Rocky Road Ahead' bought together some of the well-known people in the industry.
The panellists included Mr Prateek Pant (Co-Founder-Head of Products and Solutions at Sanctum Wealth Management), Mr Suraj Kaeley (Former Group President, Sales & Marketing at UTI Mutual Funds), Mr Harsh Roongta (Investment Advisor), Pritam Kumar Patnaik (Business Head - Reliance Commodities Ltd. & Head PCG Sales). The session was moderated by SPJIMR Executive in residence, Mr Harsh Vardhan and SPJIMR Advisor, Mr Mohan Natarajan. The event was inaugurated by Head of CFS, Prof. Neeraj Swaroop.
SPJIMR’s Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM) inaugurated its 17th Batch today. The Chief Guest, Mr Nixon Joseph, President & Chief Operating Officer, SBI Foundation, inaugurated the batch and urged the participants to ‘Do what you enjoy and enjoy what you do.'
SPJIMR and IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a seminar that was inaugurated by Mr. Ashish Vaid, President, IMC; Mr. Ajit Mangrulkar, Director General, IMC and members of IMC CSR Committee. More than 50 people from CSR and NGO representatives attended the seminar where they got a comprehensive understanding of the Social Return on Investment (SRoI).
