Overview

Ehsaas 2024, the annual NGO Mela organised by SPJIMR DoCC, was inaugurated on February 15, 2024 by SPJIMR Dean Prof. Varun Nagaraj,  Director of DoCC Prof. Chandrika Parmar, members from the partner organisations including Bharati Singh, PraveenLata Sansthan Foundation, Shalini Datta, Aftertaste Foundation, Anjali Sarkale, Anirvedh Charitable Trust, PGDM DoSU participant Divya Pratap Mall and DoCC Ehsaas co-ordinator Shital Salvi.

Ehsaas 2024 brought together nearly 60 partners, each dedicated to a unique cause ranging from farmer-producer organisations, self-help groups, micro-entrepreneurs, organisations working with people with disability, and social businesses, all united in their mission to forge a better world.

Ehsaas 2024 stands as a testament to the spirit of giving and solidarity, making it one of the most joyous and anticipated days at the Bhavan’s campus. It’s a platform where the entire community converges, embodying the essence of unity and the shared drive to make a difference.

Prof. Chandrika Parmar commented, “Hosted with passion and commitment by the DoCC SPJIMR the Ehsaas NGO Mela 2024 is not merely an event; it’s a celebration of hope, collaboration, and the empowerment of communities.”

Ehsaas is an initiative of SPJIMR DoCC started in 2007 to provide a platform to several micro and small enterprises, profit-making social enterprises, NGOs & SHGs to promote their products. Ehsaas 2024, a 2-day NGO Mela will provide a platform for farmers, farmer-producer organisations (FPOs), financial institutions, government organisations, self-help groups (SHGs), cooperatives, agri-start-ups, enterprises, and buyers to network and build synergies.

Event Details

  • Mela Exhibition: The event engaged 60+ pan-India FPOs, SHGs, NGOs to sensitise stakeholders, and expand visibility and networking opportunities for FPOs, corporates and educational institutions alike
  • Engagement Activities: Mela engaged stakeholders by knowledge-sharing sessions on policy making, legal compliance, financial linkages, business linkages, government schemes and conducted entertaining mela activities, keeping the audiences engaged

 

As the event concluded successfully, we hope it will:

  • Develop long-term relationships which extend beyond the two-day event and contribute to developing an ecosystem that efficiently serves the needs of the participating institutions
  • Help us identify entrepreneurs whom we could potentially handhold over the next few years to scale up their businesses
  • Offer opportunities for participating institutions to market their products and help them to scale their business
  • Provide a one-of-a-kind forum to address capacity-building issues for farmers and FPOs
  • Provide opportunities for farmers and FPOs to interact with buyers and sellers for forward and backward linkages, achieving the objective of networking and cross-learning
  • Bridge the information and awareness gap for urban consumers
