The SPJIMR family celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great zeal. The celebrations commenced a week earlier with a call for participation in a poster competition on the theme, Azadi ka Amritkaal, focusing on ‘Innovators’ contributions and their role in nation building’. On August 15, the Independence day event began with the customary march past by NCC cadets across the entire Bhavan’s campus. Prof. Sajeev A. George hoisted the flag and delivered an insightful address on innovative nation builders. Quoting Tagore, he commented, “Where the mind is without fear, and the head is held high, that I feel is the true meaning of freedom.”

The week-long event, held at our Mumbai and Delhi campuses, not only promoted mindfulness and physical well-being but also fostered a stronger sense of community among the SPJIMR employees. SPJIMR faculty and professionals enthusiastically participated in the Yoga Week activities from June 17 to June 21, 2024. The well-planned sessions were designed to benefit the diverse audience, which included yoga novices as well as seasoned practitioners. Every day after the morning yoga sessions, wholesome and nourishing refreshments were also served to help participants take on their workday with renewed energy.

International Women's Day was celebrated at SPJIMR from March 6 - 8, 2024, with the aim of fostering a supportive and informed community. It included a fun Zumba session, experiential learning with the Mind the Gap workshop, and an insightful Health and Wellness session. The event was flagged off with an energetic Zumba workshop by our Sitara Alumni, Saif Iqram Shaikh. The next day witnessed a unique and engaging session, "Mind the Gap", conducted by Prof. Tanvi Mankodi and co-facilitated by Mohini Arora (Teaching Assistant). This session engaged the attendees in an experiential role-reversal activity and promoted dialogue, understanding and collaboration amongst our diverse community. The celebrations concluded with a special Health and Wellness Session conducted by our on-campus physician, Dr. Prajay Lunia. Dr. Lunia covered crucial topics that impact an individual's overall health, providing insights and guidance for a healthier and informed life.

The Christmas celebrations at SPJIMR ushered in festive cheer and fostered a sense of community and camaraderie. Adorned in red, white, and green, the SPJIMR family gathered to sing carols around the campus. Our jolly Santa added an enchanting touch, underscoring the magic of Christmas. The celebration continued with a delightful high tea, where colleagues indulged in scrumptious treats, shared laughter, and exchanged their plans and hopes for the new year. Navratri 2023 festivities at SPJIMR were a series of meticulously planned weeklong festivities, including a garba workshop and Instagram reel competition based on fun themes encouraging teams and inter-department collaborations. The grand finale was a Navratri Musical event lit with energetic garba and dandiya performances. The event concluded with prize distribution ceremony which applauded the spirit of SPJIMR.
