On the occasion of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Centre for Innovation in Sustainable Development (CISD) organised a Literary & Art Contest on “Role of Women in Building a Sustainable Future”. The event followed the culmination of the Abhyudaya Visits for the PGDM and PGDM (BM) Batch of 2023-25 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 Sitaras and their Mentors.
Aligned with the occasion, the contest theme sparked imaginative responses. The participants collaborated to produce letters, poems, short stories, essays, and artworks, showcasing their interpretation of the theme. The atmosphere buzzed with creativity and camaraderie as teams worked together to express their ideas. From interesting reflections on the contributions of women in science to vibrant illustrations depicting sustainable futures, the submissions reflected a diverse range of perspectives.
Judges were impressed by the depth of thought and creativity displayed by the participants. Cash prizes and goodies awaited the winners, adding an element of friendly competition to the event.
Overall, the Literary & Art Contest provided a platform for participants to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and appreciation for the role of women in shaping a sustainable future. The fun engagement activity for the Sitaras and their Mentors served as a fitting finale to the Abhyudaya mentoring visits and inspired and energised the participants for future endeavours.
