  • Accelerators

WISE Tech houses two accelerators for wise innovation – FinNovate for ‘responsible finance’ start-ups, and SPJIMR EarthLab Accelerator for start-ups focused on sustainability themes. We take in approximately 30 start-ups yearly and work closely with them to accelerate them to the next stage of their funding and growth. We select and onboard companies that have created a minimum viable product, acquired their first customer and are grappling with improving their product-market fit. The selected companies go through a structured four-month curriculum in small cohorts, work with senior industry mentors, get access to potential customers and market partners, and present to investors.

Currently, the second FinNovate cohort is in session. The selection process for the first SPJIMR EarthLab Accelerator cohort begins in August 2024.

  • Entrepreneur in Residence Fellowship Programme (EIR)

The EIR programme focuses on early-stage entrepreneurs at the ‘idea stage’ – those who have not yet developed their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or acquired customers. Annually, we plan to take in up to 10 entrepreneurs and guide them in transforming their ideas into viable start-ups that will generate a net positive impact on the economy, society and the environment. The EIR initiative supports entrepreneurs with a stipend and resources drawn from the Sunil Bhatia Start-Up Resource Hub and from other SPJIMR resources over a 12-18 month period to build an MVP and validate customer interest. These entrepreneurs could be SPJIMR students who opt out of their placement process, SPJIMR alumni who wish to transition from their corporate roles as well as deserving candidates from outside the SPJIMR fraternity. EIR graduates are expected to raise meaningful seed funding after graduation.

The first EIR cohort will commence in April 2025.
