Overview

Navigating complex digital transformations, multi-stakeholder ecosystems, and socio-economic realities requires agile leaders who bridge legacy systems with emerging tech. The hardest questions in business are rarely about technology itself. They are about judgement: which signal is worth acting upon and whether an algorithm’s decision can be explained to the person it affected.

The Information Management and Analytics area at SPJIMR spans enterprise architecture, business intelligence, machine learning, GenAI, Agentic AI, cloud, digital products and platforms, technology strategy, and algorithmic development and control. The department comprises faculty members whose academic foundations and scholarly depth are matched by significant industry leadership. This intersection of theory and practice defines the area’s output.

Faculty research features in leading journals such as the International Journal of Information Management, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Information Systems Frontiers, and the Journal of Product Innovation Management. Beyond research, they develop pedagogical cases for Ivey Publishing, Emerald, and SAGE. Their teaching influence permeates the curricula of management programmes at SPJIMR and shapes executive development for global entities.
