Abhishek Kumar Jha

Assistant Professor, Information Management and Analytics

Abhishek Kumar Jha holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Indian Institute of Management Indore, with a research focus at the intersection of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, information privacy, and behavioural science. His work blends computational techniques with psychological theory to explore how humans interact with intelligent systems in decision-making contexts. He has received multiple accolades, including the Best Doctoral Student Award at IIM Indore, research grants from NASMEI, and multiple best paper awards.

Prof. Jha has also contributed to academic service as a reviewer for leading journals, including Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Journal of Organisational Computing and Electronic Commerce, and Journal of Business Research, and as a contributor to MISQ Insider. His research has been published in reputed journals and presented at international conferences such as INFORMS, ACR, ICIS, and POMS, among others. His current research continues to examine the design, trust, and effectiveness of AI-driven systems across marketing, recommender systems, and privacy-enhancing technologies, among others.

Before joining SPJIMR, Abhishek was a lecturer at Deakin University, teaching postgraduate courses in machine learning, cybersecurity, and predictive analytics. He has also completed advanced research training through prestigious programmes: GSERM at the University of St. Gallen and Participant Focused Teaching Training by Harvard Business School.
