Achievements

SPJIMR Graduation Day 2015 saw over 1,500 people including graduating students, family members, faculty members and staff gathered on the lawns of Bhavans Campus for an evening marked by pomp, festivities and nostalgia on Saturday, April 25. The weekend celebrations were led by Mr.Deepak Parekh, Chairman, Board of Governors, SPJIMR, who along with the Chief Guest of the Day, Ms. Falguni Nayar, Founder and CEO of Nykaa.com, and SPJIMR Director Dr.Sesha Iyer, led the Graduation procession from the teaching facilities to the lawns on the far west end of the 45-acre campus.

It wasn't an ordinary Saturday on 1st August, 2015 at the J W Marriott as over 200 alumni gathered to meet the new Dean Dr. Ranjan Banerjee and contribute to and share his vision for the future of SPJIMR.

Insightful, innovative, iterative – these were some of the words students used to describe the “Design Thinking & Innovation” course that was conducted by the Dean, Dr. Ranjan Banerjee and Dr. Suranjan Das for the PGPM programme at SPJIMR between October 23 and 26, 2015. This is the first time the discipline has been formally taught on campus as a credit-based course. It was rolled out to participants in workshop mode.

The S P Jain Institute of Management & Research has been ranked fourth in the latest B-School rankings released by Business Today magazine, moving up one notch from the rankings issued by the magazine last year. In its issue dated November 22, 2015, titled “India’s Best B-Schools,” Business Today said SPJIMR was fourth in “overall rankings” for 2015.

The 2015 Magsaysay award winner Mr. Anshu Gupta and Padma Bhushan Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak spent over three hours each at SPJIMR, as part of Heroes Speak 2015, an initiative of the DOCC. They interacted with the participants on issues and concerns that are often not discussed by urban India.

The guest of honour at the event was Mr. Vinod Chaturvedi, Jt. Executive President- HR, Ultratech Cement.

SPJIMR's Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGPFMB) programme on Saturday (Dec.19) graduated 132 students from the "17March" batch at a ceremony that saw parents, students and faculty fill the SPJIMR auditorium as students walked up to receive their certificates at the hands of Chief Guest Mr.Arun Nanda, the FMB Centre Head Prof. Atul Sethi and the FMB Programme Head Dr.Tulsi Jayakumar.
