Brief description
The project in Mohanpur Block, Deoghar District, Jharkhand, has significantly addressed socio-economic challenges through targeted interventions and collaborative efforts. By providing training on sustainable agriculture, vegetable cultivation, soil and water conservation, animal husbandry and NTFP utilisation, the project empowered community members through capacity building, skill development, innovative agricultural practices and credit and market linkages. This has equipped community members to better withstand climate change impacts and economic uncertainties. Climate-smart agricultural practices aim to increase crop yields while promoting environmental conservation and natural resource management. Community members have embraced these interventions, showing optimism and a willingness to adopt new techniques and livelihood methods to diversify income sources. Emphasising capacity building and community engagement, the project has fostered a sense of empowerment and ownership among participants, encouraging proactive local problem-solving and sustainable development initiatives. Overall, the project has laid a strong foundation for positive change, contributing to improved livelihoods, enhanced resilience, and sustainable development in the community.
