SPJIMR's PGPDM prepares leaders for the social sector. It's a 12- month modular programme, for professionals working in or intending to work for the social sector including NGOs, foundations, CSR functions of corporate/ for-profit organisations, social policy or welfare departments of governments, and social enterprises.

What makes PGPDM stand out?

Location

The programme has the locational advantage of being situated in the financial capital with a large-scale presence of social sector, public policy, and corporate actors. With over 250 plant species and a lake, our 45-acre campus in Andheri is an urban oasis, providing a very conducive location for social change agents to learn and reflect.

Flexibility

The delivery structure of the programme blends the efficiency of online learning with the proven advantages of in-person classroom sessions. For online contacts, sessions are held after lunch on weekdays and all day on weekends. PGPDM is a modular programme that enables participants to continue working at their current organisations. It is delivered over six contact periods of two weeks each, the first, third and last contacts are residential and held on SPJIMR’s Mumbai campus.

With 25 cohorts in over 14 years, PGPDM has impacted 430 organisations across 29 states of India. PGPDM alumni are serving as founders, heads, trustees and directors of NGOs, social entrepreneurs, CSR managers, programme officers and consultants across social sector organisations.

Faculty profile

Thirty-two top-tier faculty members from SPJIMR, including both core and adjunct faculty, are joined by visiting experts from outside the institution. These faculty members come from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, having studied or worked at prestigious global universities such as Oxford, Harvard, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Brandeis, Michigan, Tulane, UC Berkley, London Business School, LSE, Aix-Marseille, Ashridge Business School and renowned Indian institutions such as IITs, IIMs, XLRI, BITS Pilani, SPJIMR, Jamnalal Bajaj IMS, ISM Dhanbad, ISI, IIFT, TISS, IRMA, Nirmala Niketan, MICA and others of repute. They offer a balanced approach in the classroom, blending theory and practice with management and development expertise to enrich the learning experience.

Programme fee

The programme is subsidized since it is part of the social commitment of the institute
and therefore affordable and feasible for working people.

Participants sponsored by corporates / international NGOs & high-income candidates: ₹3,00,000 (Three Lakh only) + 18% GST.

Payment terms:
In advance – 2 options

  1. Full payment : ₹3,00,000 + 18% GST.
  2. Term-wise payment : ₹1,00,000 + 18% GST per term (three terms).
Participants from NGOs or those who are
self-sponsored:
₹1,50,000 (One Lakh Fifty Thousand only) + 18% GST.

Payment terms :
In advance – 3 options

  1. Lump Sum Payment : ₹1,50,000 + 18% GST (Receive a discount of ₹10,000 on the total amount).
  2. Term-wise payment : ₹50,000 + 18% GST per term (three terms).
  3. Six Equal Instalments : ₹25,000 + 18% GST before the start of every contact. The first instalment must be paid to confirm admission.
  4. A discount of ₹15,000 per candidate is provided when two or more applicants from the same organisation join the same batch, and a ₹10,000 discount is given when a candidate makes a lump-sum payment.

Limited Scholarships are available for low-income deserving candidates
