Brief description

The project identified challenges for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Bangalore: lack of awareness before diagnosis, financial burdens, and limited access to specialised care. The recommendations prioritise government intervention: increasing awareness, improving specialist access, and advocating for inclusion in support schemes. The proposed policy changes aim to expand support schemes, subsidise medications, and enhance insurance coverage. Community partnerships are crucial for raising awareness and advocating for policy changes. Overall, the report advocates for comprehensive interventions that are urgently needed to address awareness gaps, financial barriers, and accessibility challenges for MS patients in the region.
