  • What are the eligibility criteria for the programme?

    The eligibility criteria for the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) are as follows:

    • Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with First Class or an equivalent GPA; or a four-year or five-year integrated Master’s degree with First Class or an equivalent GPA; or professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, or CS with a minimum of 55% marks.
    • Applicants must also have a valid score in one of the following entrance examinations:
      • CAT
      • GMAT
      • GRE
      • GATE
      • ATMA
      • UGC-NET
      • UGC-JRF

    Applicants may be exempt from submitting entrance examination scores if they hold a PGDM or MBA from SPJIMR, MDI, the IIMs, IIT Management Departments, XLRI, IRMA, TISS, ISI, XIMB, FMS, or IIFT.

    Both recent graduates and experienced professionals are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate the motivation and academic background required to pursue a rigorous research programme.

  • What is the programme fee?

    The FPM at SPJIMR is a fully funded residential programme. Every scholar admitted to the programme receives a stipend during the first four years of the programme.

  • Is it a residential programme?

    Yes.

    The FPM at SPJIMR is a residential programme. On-campus hostel accommodation is available for outstation scholars.

  • Is it necessary to have work experience to apply for the programme?

    No.

    Both recent graduates and professionals with significant work experience (including those with more than 10 years) are welcome to apply, provided they have the motivation and academic background to pursue a rigorous research programme. Learn more.

  • Do I need to indicate an area of specialisation while applying for the programme?

    Yes.

    You must indicate two preferred areas of specialisation in your application.

  • Can I apply for more than one specialisation?

    Yes.

    You may select two preferred areas of specialisation in your application.

  • How does opting for two specialisations benefit me?

    Applicants interested in multidisciplinary research may choose two areas of specialisation. During the selection process, the interview panel will determine which area best fits the applicant’s research interests and background. Learn more.

  • Am I allowed to change my specialisation once I join the programme?

    Yes.

    You may change your area of specialisation before finalising your seminar courses for the chosen area, subject to approval and with proper justification.

  • When does the application process begin?

    The application window for the FPM 2027 intake opens in November 2026.

  • When is the last date for submitting the form?

    The application deadline for the FPM 2027 intake is February 2027.

  • How do I pay my application fee?

    The application processing fee is ₹1,000 and can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking. The application processing fee is non-refundable.

  • During online payment, the amount was deducted from my bank account, but the transaction ID was not generated, and I am not able to submit the form. What should I do?

    If the application fee has been deducted from your bank account but no transaction ID has been generated, and you are unable to submit your application, please write to fpm.admissions@spjimr.org.

  • Who should I contact if I have a question regarding the status of the application?

    You may raise a query through the admissions portal, and the team will respond within two working days.

    Alternatively, you may write to fpm.admissions@spjimr.org.

  • When do I need to submit the supporting documents?

    Supporting documents should be uploaded along with your online application at the time of submission.

  • What is the selection process for the programme?

    Applications are shortlisted based on academic qualifications, work experience, recommendations, alignment with the institute’s research areas, and fit with SPJIMR’s mission.

    Shortlisted applicants are then invited to attend an interview conducted by a distinguished faculty panel.

  • Can I reschedule my interview?

    Yes. You may contact the Admissions Office to request a reschedule in the event of an emergency.

  • Is there any scholarship available?

    No.

    As the FPM is a fully funded programme that provides generous financial grants and a stipend, separate scholarships are not offered.

  • Is there any special housing arrangement for married students?

    No.
