SPJIMR faculty top two categories in Ivey Publishing’s global bestsellers list 2025-26

June 18, 2026

Eight case studies authored by SPJIMR faculty and alumni have featured in Ivey Publishing’s Bestsellers 2025–2026 list. The annual rankings recognise the most widely used teaching cases from Ivey Publishing’s global collection across 15 disciplines. This year, SPJIMR faculty- and alumni-authored cases secured the
‘top-selling case’ position in two disciplines and were featured across six disciplines overall, reflecting the continued impact of SPJIMR’s research on management education worldwide.

Is that an order?’, authored by professors Vineeta Dwivedi and Tulsi Jayakumar, ranked #1 in Communications. The case explores the role of emotional intelligence in interpersonal communication, highlighting the importance of communication skills in diverse and multilingual professional environments. The authors commented that it is gratifying to know their experiences and insights have contributed to meaningful classroom discussions on communication and leadership.

In Marketing, the case study ‘Snaqary Snacks: Building a start-up brand’ co-authored by Prof. Ashita Aggarwal and Suraj Commuri (PGDM 1991 Alumnus), ranked #1. The case presents the story of two bootstrapped women entrepreneurs navigating a competitive marketplace and making decisions with incomplete information, making the case relevant across different cultures and classroom settings.

Prof. Aggarwal noted that the case resonated because it presents a real entrepreneurial challenge with no obvious right answer, creating the kind of productive discomfort that leads to memorable classroom debate. She highlighted that the top-selling case recognition also reinforced the idea that powerful marketing cases do not need to focus on Fortune 500 companies or Silicon Valley unicorns. Some of the richest strategic dilemmas emerge in small businesses where every decision carries significant consequences.

In addition to the two top-selling cases, SPJIMR faculty-authored cases were featured across four other disciplines:

Economics & Public Policy

Entrepreneurship

Management Science

Strategy

This latest achievement builds on SPJIMR’s strong performance in previous years. In the 2024–2025 cycle, 12 faculty members featured in Ivey Publishing’s Bestseller and Classics lists, demonstrating the institute’s sustained contribution to case-based learning globally. Join us in congratulating our faculty members for creating a meaningful impact on management education globally. Through their cases, learners around the world engage with real-world business challenges, develop critical-thinking skills, and gain insights that prepare them to lead with purpose and responsibility.
