Associate Professor, Organisation and Leadership Studies

Vineeta Dwivedi is a business communication specialist and educator with over twenty-five years of experience across media, academia, and industry. She holds a Ph.D. in marketing and specialises in interpersonal, strategic, and leadership communication. She also teaches courses on negotiation, emotional intelligence, business writing, digital marketing, and critical thinking in the age of AI. She has also designed and introduced forward-looking courses such as Digital Democracy and The Use of AI in Communication, reflecting her commitment to preparing learners for the evolving communication landscape.

Her teaching bridges academic theory with real-world application, preparing students and professionals to navigate complex communication challenges with clarity, empathy, and impact. Beyond the classroom, she actively mentors students, helping them build confidence, sharpen their resumes, and prepare strategically for meaningful careers. She has also launched several student-led clubs and initiatives that foster communication excellence, leadership presence, and real-world readiness.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of media and society, with a focus on media trust and fake news, digital communication trends, gender and communication, and the influence of artificial intelligence on how we connect and converse. She actively contributes to academic discourse through research, media publications, international research forums, and digital discourse. She has also led institutional efforts in digital communication strategy, including social media and content design. research focuses on media trust and fake news, gender and communication, digital discourse, and the evolving intersection of artificial intelligence and human connection.

Before transitioning to academia, Prof. Dwivedi built a successful career in the media industry. She began as a journalist and broadcaster with the BBC in London, doing live news coverage and making radio documentaries, transitioning into leadership roles and working as Head of Business Development for the BBC in India. She set up radio and online partnerships and led the DRM digital radio initiative globally as the Project Director. She later served as CEO of the cinema company KSS Ltd. Her corporate experience spans content creation, strategic communication, business development, content partnerships, and leadership in high-performance teams.

She has designed and delivered executive training programs for organisations such as Procter & Gamble, BP, Castrol, Blue Star, Pidilite, CK Birla Group, Mahindra, and the Tata Group. She has also worked with public institutions, including GAIL India, NDDB, the Indian Army, and SBI, as well as with NGOs and professional bodies such as ICAI, Swades Foundation, and Marsh McLennan. Her training portfolio includes Leadership Communication, Executive Presence, Storytelling and Presentations, Negotiation Strategy, Emotional Intelligence, Reputation Management and Media Strategy.

With her interdisciplinary background and rich industry experience, Prof Dwivedi brings a distinctive blend of thought leadership and academic rigour to advance powerful, purposeful communication in leaders and organisations.
