Paper Development Workshop (PDW) 2024

February 1, 2025

SPJIMR Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC) hosted the Paper Development Workshop (PDW) in collaboration with Organization Studies — a multidisciplinary journal with global reach, rooted in the social sciences and Organization Theory — an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal in collaboration with the European Group for Organizational Studies. The workshop aimed to benefit academics, early career scholars, and Ph.D. students and offered them support in developing their manuscripts for submission to top-tier journals. As part of the paper development workshop, an online masterclass was held on 3rd September 2024. Prof. Chandrika Parmar, Director, DoCC SPJIMR, and the PRME India Chapter Chair welcomed the participants. The master class was conducted by Joep Cornelissen, Professor of Corporate Communications, Rotterdam School of Management.

The workshop witnessed active participation from authors who presented manuscripts virtually across four days in February 2025. Our international mentors, highly acclaimed in their field, played a crucial role in guiding the authors.

Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC) is a novel initiative pioneered by SPJIMR more than 30 years ago, rooted in the belief that ‘Civil society is a learning mechanism’. In addition, with its purpose to address sustainability, futures, and community, DoCC hosts several events and outreach activities throughout the year. It connects the academic world, development sector, corporate world and civil society to engage in meaningful conversations where each group understands the diverse world of the other and initiates beneficial collaborations.
