Fintech Convergence

The “Fintech Convergence: 4-Week Venture Development Bootcamp” hosted by the Sunil Bhatia Start-up Hub, aimed to provide support to emerging entrepreneurs in the FinTech and TechFin sectors across India. Through mentorship, networking opportunities, access to technology credits, and more, the boot camp sought to enhance the presence and impact of the Start-up Hub in the FinTech landscape. Start-ups participating in the boot campp stood to gain significant benefits, including access to investors, enterprise and peer networks, the chance to be fast-tracked for the FinNovate Accelerator, mentorship from industry leaders, technology credits worth INR 600k, and post-program support. Additionally, winning startups had the opportunity to receive a cash prize of INR 1 Lakh and fast-track entry into the FinNovate Accelerator Cohort 02.
The event attracted over 100 registrations, leading to 27 final boot camp incubatees post-screening. Notably, the boot camp featured 15+ industry veterans as mentors, conducting 15 mentorship workshops and sessions, as well as 10+ group mentorship and one-on-one sessions with industry experts. The start-ups involved in the boot camp offered innovative solutions, such as a spend management platform for business travel expenses and a multi-funder fintech platform facilitating supply chain finance solutions for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Furthermore, ecosystem partners were involved in providing a platform to the start-ups, to expose the brand to a wider audience and a larger set of investors.
Dice was declared the winner, Cashn Tech was placed as the first runner-up, and FinSupport was the second runner-up.
Overall, the Fintech Convergence boot camp provided a platform for start-ups in the FinTech and TechFin spaces to receive mentorship, networking opportunities, technology credits, and potential entry into the FinNovate Accelerator. With a focus on industry support and innovative solutions, the boot camp aimed to bolster the presence and impact of the Sunil Bhatia Start-up Hub in the rapidly evolving FinTech landscape.
