  • What is the advantage of applying early to GMP?

    • Early application increases your chances of receiving an early admission offer.
    • You can attempt to improve your entrance exam score if needed.

    • The offer letter provides a three-month window to arrange your education loan before the term begins.

  • What is SPJIMR’s GMP all about?

    The Global Management Programme (GMP) at SPJIMR is meticulously designed for participants aspiring to global careers. GMP prepares participants to lead international businesses by providing them with the necessary global perspectives and management skills. Participants study at SPJIMR for six months before completing their degree at a leading international partner school in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, or Canada. After successfully completing the programme, participants are awarded an international MBA/MS degree.

  • What is the duration of the programmes offered by partner schools, after completion of SPJIMR’s GMP?

    The duration of the programme varies between 18 – 24 months depending on the selected international partner school.

  • Are there any benefits of joining the partner schools through GMP, rather than joining them directly?

    The advantages of applying to international partner schools through SPJIMR are numerous, including the ability to transfer credits earned at SPJIMR to gain admission in the second term at the international partner school.

  • Is SPJIMR’s GMP a full-time residential programme?

    Yes. The participants have to stay on campus at SPJIMR, Mumbai for six months before moving on to study at their respective international schools.

  • Can you please share about the batch composition of GMP?

    At SPJIMR participants study with a diverse group of peers from varied fields. They then complete the programme from international partner schools, with peers from several nationalities and diverse backgrounds. This facilitates one of its kind of peer-networking and peer-learning, which offers deep insights into how diverse cultures impact global business practices across diverse economies.

  • How do I apply to GMP? What are the application fees? What documents are required?

    Fees

    • The application fee for GMP is ₹2,000. There is no additional fee for partner schools.
    • Applicants who have already applied to PGDM, PGDM (BM) or PGPM can use the same registration number and apply to GMP by paying ₹1,000.

    Documents required

    • Educational documents: Class X, XII and graduation
    • Entrance exam scores: CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT/GRE (any one)
    • English proficiency: IELTS or TOEFL (required by some partner schools)
    • Work-related documents (if applicable): offer letter, experience letter
    • Letters of recommendation (LOR): one academic and one professional
  • How do I submit my GMAT, GRE, CAT, NMAT or XAT scores?

    GMAT, GRE and NMAT scores can be sent directly by the test provider. You should upload CAT and XAT scores with your GMP application.

  • Do I need to submit a letter of recommendation with my application?

    Yes. You should submit your LOR along with the application form.

  • Do I need to fill a separate form for the international partner schools?

    Yes. You may need to complete separate forms for some partner schools. You do not need to pay an additional application fee for these.

  • When do I select the partner school?

    You must select your preferred partner school and course while completing the GMP application form. SPJIMR counsellors will guide you in making an informed choice.

    After two interview rounds—one with SPJIMR and one with the partner school—selected candidates receive an offer letter confirming the partner school and specialisation.

  • What is the interview process?

    SPJIMR shortlists candidates after an initial application review. Faculty conduct interviews on campus.

    If you clear the SPJIMR interview, the Admissions Office will contact you within two working days.

    If required, the partner school will invite you for an interview after you submit your application. Check your spam folder if you do not receive communication. If there is no response within 5–7 days, contact the GMP Admissions Team.

  • Can you briefly describe the admission process of SPJIMR’s GMP?

    SPJIMR-GMP’s partner school forms need to be submitted using the respective links provided. The form is quite a detailed one and will take some time to complete. The online application form will include academic performance, work experience [if any], hobbies and interests and will include candidates’ preference to the partner schools. One can select a maximum of two partner schools.

  • If I have filled a PGDM form, do I need to go through the entire process again?

    You will have to register separately and create a new login password for the GMP application form. Once done, the common fields between PGDM and GMP forms will be automatically populated. However, there are a few fields that are specific to GMP and will be required to be filled independent of the PGDM form. If you have already filled PGDM form, enter the registration number and submit the form; it will be marked paid.

  • What qualification will I receive after completing GMP?

    SPJIMR awards a GMP certificate after the six-month programme in Mumbai. The partner school awards the MBA or MS degree upon completion of the remaining requirements.

  • Does SPJIMR support the loan process?

    Yes. SPJIMR facilitates education loans. It shares loan details after you clear the SPJIMR interview.

  • Do partner schools offer scholarships?

    Yes. Candidates joining partner schools through GMP may receive scholarships of up to 70%. You may also apply for government scholarships offered by the respective countries.
