SPJIMR celebrates Women’s Day 2025 with a week of learning and wellness

March 3-6, 2025

SPJIMR’s HR department organised a week-long celebration for Women’s Day. The initiative aimed to empower, educate, and enhance the well-being of the SPJIMR community through a series of insightful and interactive sessions. In line with SPJIMR’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the sessions were accessible to all members of the SPJIMR community, not just women.

March 3: Wealth management session

Financial literacy is fundamental to empowerment and long-term security. Professor Raghu Iyer led an in-depth session on financial planning and wealth creation, guiding participants through essential aspects of investment strategies, savings plans, and risk management. Attendees gained valuable insights into making informed financial decisions, ensuring stability and growth in their personal and professional lives.

March 4: Zumba dance fitness session

Physical activity plays a crucial role in holistic well-being. Abhyudaya alumna Sitara and Zumba trainer Saif Shaikh conducted an energetic dance fitness session at the Recreation Centre, encouraging participants to embrace movement as a means of enhancing both physical and mental health. The session fostered a sense of community and well-being, highlighting the positive effects of regular exercise on stress reduction and overall vitality.

March 5: Mental health and well-being session

Mental well-being is essential for maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life. In-house counsellor Dimple Wagle led an insightful discussion on stress management, emotional resilience, and self-care practices. The session focused on recognising early signs of burnout, developing coping strategies, and seeking support when needed. Participants were encouraged to prioritise their mental health and integrate mindfulness techniques into their daily routines.

March 6: Gynaecologist session on women’s health

Preventive healthcare is key to ensuring long-term wellness. Dr. Suman Bijlani, in collaboration with Howden, SPJIMR’s insurance consulting partner, conducted a session on women’s health, addressing crucial topics such as reproductive health, hormonal balance, and preventive screenings. The discussion underscored the importance of routine check-ups, early detection of PCOS, potential health concerns, and adopting proactive self-care measures for overall well-being.

SPJIMR remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering knowledge, well-being, and empowerment within its community. The institute extends its heartfelt appreciation to all the remarkable women who continue to inspire, lead, and thrive in various spheres of life. Happy Women’s Day!
