SPJIMR celebrated the graduation day of PGPFMB Batch 29 on June 10, 2023. The diverse batch, representing 47 industry verticals, including manufacturing, service, FMCG, retail, mining, and hospitality, showcased SPJIMR’s hallmark diversity.

The graduating class of PGPFMB-29 was the first batch after the pandemic and had started their FMB journey in a blended mode. Graduation Day was an eagerly awaited opportunity for each of them to reunite with their peers and applaud each other’s success.

Murtuza Khorakiwala, Managing Director, Wockhardt Limited, presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He encouraged the outgoing batch to trust themselves, believe in their abilities, and practice gratitude and said, “Do not fear failures ever, instead fail, till you become failure-proof!”

Aashna Shah, Riju Goyal, Raashmi Raju, Rohan Jain, and Kunal Bhansali were among the participants who received the Dean’s top five recognition. Aashna expressed gratitude to the family mentors who supported their journeys and handed them established businesses to lead.

Dean Dr. Varun Nagaraj addressed the graduating batch and highlighted the significance of innovation in every aspect of their business endeavours. He emphasised that an innovation mindset can fuel their success in the dynamic and ever-evolving business landscape.

Executive Director, CFBE and PGPFMB Programme Chair, Prof. Tulsi Jayakumar, reviewed the batch performance and recounted cherished memories of the batch. She inspired them to lead with humility, integrity and generosity in each sphere of their life. She said, “As you embark on your journey as full-time business leaders, and bear the full brunt of a VUCA world, I urge you to Invest in a set of 4 Ps for yourself. Be patient… Be polite… Be perceptive and Be persistent.”

The event was attended by participants, their mentors, SPJIMR faculty and staff. SPJIMR community wishes Batch 29 all the best and success in all their endeavours as they start their new journeys.
