PGPM batch 2024 farewell

January 23, 2025

SPJIMR bid farewell to the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) 2024 cohort as they concluded their transformative learning journey. The batch boasted a diverse and robust profile, with a collective professional experience of 705 years, spanning over 10 academic disciplines and 40 industry sectors, and comprising individuals who had held more than 50 different roles.

Prof. Renuka Kamath, Associate Dean (Full-time Programmes), expressed her pleasure in teaching such an exceptional cohort and extended her best wishes for their future endeavours. She encouraged the graduates to remain connected with their alma mater through alumni meetings. Prof. Anshul Verma, Chairperson of PGPM, emphasised the significance of the number 20, noting how this batch had surpassed expectations and made a truly remarkable impact. He quoted a profound verse from the Bhagavad Gita: “उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत्। आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः।”

He advised the graduates to recognise that one is both one’s own friend and one’s own enemy, urging them to elevate themselves through their own efforts and avoid self-degradation. Prof. Amol Dhaigude, Deputy Programme Chairperson of PGPM, fondly reflected on the memories shared with the cohort and emphasised the importance of balancing success with maintaining good health.

The captivating performances by the participants evoked nostalgia and inspired faculty members to join in the celebrations, reminiscing about the cohort’s exceptional journey. As the PGPM participants bid farewell to SPJIMR, the event also marked the commencement of their international immersion at INSEAD. The SPJIMR community wishes them the best as they prepare to make a global impact.
