Batch 33 participants of our Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGPFMB) attended a two-week immersion at Polimi Graduate School of Management, Milan, Italy. The two-week programme was a thoughtful mix of specially curated sessions on topics around family business, governance, strategic entrepreneurship, digital transformation and many more. Participants’ learning was further elevated with enriching sessions facilitated by leading faculty from the global family business domain.

This immersion also included an industry visit to Persico. Founded in 1976, Persico Group is a well-regarded Italian multinational primarily engaged in the automotive, roto moulding and marine industries. With its headquarters and main production facilities in Italy, Persico has key production and sales units in the USA, México, Germany and China to serve its customers worldwide. Industry visits like this enable our students to explore real-world industrial practices and help them evolve as business leaders with a global mindset. A round table meet featuring partner B-school alumni, Italian businessmen, and entrepreneurs helped our participants network at a global level.

International immersions such as these help SPJIMR participants evolve as business leaders with a global mindset. SPJIMR’s Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGPFMB) is designed to groom new entrants to family businesses to enable organic growth for self and their family businesses. It helps preserve and nurture the legacy of the earlier generations and leave one’s indelible mark on the family business for years to come. Conceived and launched in 1997, the programme is the pioneer in post-graduate family-managed business programmes in India.
