Ever wondered why it’s ‘Merry Christmas’ and not ‘Happy Christmas’? Perhaps the word ‘Merry’ is reserved only for Christmas because the most magical time of the year deserves a special greeting. So, a Merry Christmas from all of us at SPJIMR!
The Christmas celebrations at SPJIMR brought our community together, spreading festive cheer and creating lasting memories. Throughout Christmas week, employees teamed up to decorate the Christmas tree, fostering a spirit of collaboration and joy. Each team added its personal touch, decorating the tree with colourful baubles, transforming it into a sparkling centrepiece heralding the festive spirits on our campus.
The festivities began early on December 23rd, when the HR department welcomed employees with a special treat, the delicious plum cake. It set a warm and sweet note for the day’s celebration inspiring the spirit of joy across the campus. A highlight of the celebrations was the annual SPJIMR tradition of carol singing.
It saw enthusiastic participation from both professionals and faculty, as well as their families. Together with our Santa, they brought the magic of Christmas to life, singing carols at various campus locations, including the reception, bistro, and stilt area. The melodious songs filled the air, resonating the essence of Christmas: a festival of joy, hope and miracles.
The celebrations concluded with a festive high tea, offering the SPJIMR community a chance to reflect on the year gone by and share their hopes for the new year ahead. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and embrace the spirit of the season. The Christmas celebrations at SPJIMR was a heart-warming way to end the year, and to bring our community closer together.
