The Centre for Family Business and Entrepreneurship (CFBE), SPJIMR, hosted Dr. Claudia Astrachan, Head of the Family and Business Program, Lucerne School of Business, Switzerland, and Chair of the Board, IFERA, as part of its Family Business and Entrepreneurship Research Presentation Series.
In her presentation, ‘Sustainable Family Governance: Leveraging Family Business Research for Advisory Work’, Dr. Astrachan discussed family governance, cohesion, shared purpose, and generational transitions, emphasising diagnosing before prescribing, purpose before structure, and fit over best practice.
The session also explored how research-informed advisory practices can address family–business disconnects, generational conflict, and next-generation engagement.
At CFBE, we continue to bring global research and perspectives to our community through the series.
