About Us

Ehsaas: The NGO Mela is an initiative of DoCC at SPJIMR started in 2007 to provide a platform to several micro and small enterprises, profit-making social enterprises, NGOs & SHGs, to promote their products. Ehsaas 2023, a 2-day NGO Mela, was organised with M3M Foundation as the event partner and Krushi Vikas, Global Parli and Swades Foundation as the knowledge partners. It provided a platform for farmers, farmer-producer organisations (FPOs), financial institutions, government organisations, self-help groups (SHGs), cooperatives, agri-start-ups, enterprises, and buyers to network and build synergies.

As the event concluded successfully we hope it will:

  • Develop long-term relationships, which extend beyond the two-day event, and contribute in developing an ecosystem that efficiently serves the needs of the participating institutions
  • Help us identify entrepreneurs whom we could potentially handhold over the next few years to scale up their businesses
  • Offer opportunities for participating institutions to market their products and help them to scale their business
  • Provide a one-of-a-kind forum to address capacity-building issues for farmers and FPOs
  • Provide opportunities for farmers and FPOs to interact with buyers and sellers for forward and backward linkages, achieving the objective of networking and cross learning
  • Bridge the information and awareness gap for urban consumers

Ehsaas Round Table Objectives

  • Brought together key stakeholders to communicate, share and discuss challenges faced by farmers and FPOs and their mitigation strategies
  • Enabled conversations related to building market linkages and addressing funding challenges for farmers and FPOs; issues around access to funds
