Assistant Professor, Organisation and Leadership Studies

Prof. Suman Choudhary holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIMU). She earned gold medals in her B.Tech from Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur, and in her MBA from Rajasthan University. She has been recognised as one of the “Leaders of Tomorrow” at the 51st St. Gallen Symposium.

Prior to joining SPJIMR, she served as Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, teaching core OBHRM subjects as well as courses on the science of wellbeing, and conflict and negotiation management.

Her research explores how organisational practices and narratives shape employee attitudes and behaviour. Her work spans areas such as CSR and recruitment, examining how organisations communicate social responsibility and its impact on employer attractiveness; human capital and employee engagement; knowledge hiding; popular culture and workplace perceptions; and issues relating to women’s work and evolving family dynamics. Her work has been published in leading academic journals and presented at international conferences.

Beyond teaching and research, she has delivered training sessions as part of management development programmes for organisations, including the Bihar Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute, the Bihar Water Resources Department, the Bihar Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development, and the Bihar Police Academy.

Suman combines academic rigour with a strong focus on impact, aiming to contribute meaningfully to both scholarship and practice in human resources and organisational behaviour.
