Faculty

A rich and lively student-teacher interaction is at the heart of SPJIMR's success. Our faculty members are known to be great teachers, who can bring alive the subject, encourage critical thinking and offer a wider, holistic perspective that is critical in today's complex business environment.

Our faculty members are drawn from academia, industry, government sector and non-profits. Collectively, they bring in a wide range of experience in building and delivering knowledge and skills to prepare participants for leadership roles.

The teaching-learning process at SPJIMR is vastly enriched by a series of non-classroom initiatives through which our faculty help build among participants the right attitudes to enable them lead with purpose, meaning and with an idea of service to society.

The average experience of the core faculty is over 18 years, with several who have come to academics after years of experience as practitioners. In addition, we have around 20 adjunct faculty and several more visiting faculty who engage with participants of various courses.

Mr. Milind Kamat

Milind has 39 years of experience in the Information Technology services sector. For the past 5 years, Milind was engaged in setting up new digital businesses in areas of Cloud, Mobile, Big data, AI/ML & IOT. He successfully deployed solutions in IOT, Cloud, BIG Data Analytics and ML to drive real time management and monitoring of more than 10,000 fuel stations in India . He is also passionate about Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Business Transformations.

Milind has rich experience in driving operational excellence, lean management, P&L management, M&A integration programs, and change management. He successfully set up innovation centers and incubated new offerings. He has rich experience in driving innovation workshops through design thinking.

He served for 23 years with Atos group (French giant in IT services). During this period, he successfully performed various leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Service Lines, Business Units, HR, Business & Technology Innovation.

For 6 years in the Atos group he served as EVP and CEO of Atos India and was a member of the Group Executive committee. He started his professional journey with CMC limited (Now TCS group company), and successfully delivered large Trunkey projects in Financial Services sector during his 14 years of association with that company.

Milind is very enthusiastic about learning new areas, skills & domains. He conducts sessions in Management Development Programs regularly. He takes part as a guest speaker/panel member in industry events. He delivers sessions on subjects related to Business Development, Leadership & Transformation, Business Management and Transformation in Digital Age, IT Consulting, Operational Excellence in Business schools.

Milind has completed his Executive MBA in Leadership and Change Management from Huddersfield University, UK. He is a Post Graduate in Financial Management from JBIMS Mumbai. He has completed his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from SPCE Mumbai. His teaching Interests are Consulting, Strategy , Business Transformations in the Digital World, Business Development, Digital Transformation enabled by IOT, Blockchain, ML & AI.
