Managing operations in a global supply chain is a complex and challenging exercise of managing and coordinating processes across organisations and value chain partners. Aided by new-age technologies, we have new ways of dealing with these challenges and better matching supply and demand. Harit Joshi is a faculty in the area of operations, supply chain management and quantitative methods at SPJIMR. Harit holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His dissertation examines the value provided by coordination mechanisms like matching and dynamic pricing in ride-hailing platforms.
