In June 2024, Prof. Anirudh Shingal was accepted as an Affiliate Researcher at CIRCLE, the Centre for Innovation Research, at Lund University, Sweden. CIRCLE is an interdisciplinary hub that unites researchers from various faculties and international universities to advance the study of innovation across nine thematic areas:

• Corporate venturing and innovation
• Entrepreneurial experimentation
• Functional public procurement
• Geography, innovation, and the long-term transformation of society
• Innovation in the Global South
• International business, technology and innovation
• New perspectives on innovation policy
• Sustainability transitions
• Public sector innovation

 
Each research theme encompasses various projects, and the researchers at CIRCLE participate in multiple themes. The objective is to understand and explain how innovation can contribute to a good society and tackle societal challenges such as economic crises, climate change or the increased globalisation of economic activities.

As an Affiliate Researcher, Prof. Shingal will engage in research activities at CIRCLE and strengthen the research collaboration between Lund University and SPJIMR. This affiliation will also extend his international professional network, which already includes positions at the Global Governance Programme, European University Institute, Florence and the World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Switzerland.

This partnership underscores SPJIMR’s commitment to wise innovation and global academic collaboration.
