Balachandran R has been associated with SPJIMR since 2021 as a visiting faculty member for a banking course. He strives to relate the concepts taught in the class to his experience in the banking industry.

An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, he brings in over 28 years of industry experience in business development, client relationship management, credit risk management and product management in banking technology.

He has travelled extensively and worked on banking projects, presales, and other assignments in India, the USA (New York and Los Angeles), the UK (London), Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

Balachandran R has been associated with some of the leading business schools in India as a visiting faculty in banking/financial services for more than 10 years.

As a freelance writer, he has contributed extensively to The Economic Times on fixed-income investing, mutual funds, banking and financial markets, monetary policy and central banks.
