Confluence 2026 brought SPJIMR’s PGPM Batch 22 and PGPFMB Batch 38 students together for a two-day consulting event. The goal was straightforward: bridge classroom theory with actionable strategies for family-run operations.
Balancing this event alongside a demanding daily academic grind was no small feat. Despite tight schedules, 43 teams rolled up their sleeves and got to work. PGPFMB participants brought their real business bottlenecks to the table, and PGPM students stepped in as consultants.
PGPM students got a head start by applying management frameworks to active, live businesses. For the family-managed business owners, it was an opportunity to get fresh, objective consulting from peers who understood their pain points. The result was a genuine win-win.
Our panels of jury members and mentors from the PGPFMB alumni spent hours auditing the research, ensuring every strategy pitched was built on substance rather than generic, copy-paste fixes and AI plug-ins.
The collaboration proved that when traditional business values and structured management principles meet, both sides grow.
An event of this scale relies entirely on the team driving it. The seamless execution of this two-day event was managed by the student organising committee:
The final round tested the grit of our 9 finalists, who defended their frameworks under intense questioning from the jury. Congratulations to the teams that took home the top spots:
