  • What is the programme fee?

    The programme fee is INR 95000 + GST (18%).

  • Can the fee be paid in instalments?

    No, the fee can’t be paid in instalments.

    The SYB Programme fee is 95000 + GST payable in full at the time of admission. 

  • Since how long is the SYB programme in existence and what is the batch profile?

    The SYB programme over 15 years has witnessed participants from varied educational backgrounds, skills sets, and professional experiences but with one common vision to start their own business. The average age profile of the participants range from 20 years – 40years+ with educational background from degree to post graduate, doctorate, engineers, lawyers, commerce background, doctors etc and from various parts of the country.

  • How is the programme being conducted?

    The programme is conducted over 4 months over weekends with a mix of online + hybrid mode. Offline sessions will be conducted in SPJIMR-Mumbai.

  • Would study material be provided for SYB programme?

    Yes, every module has study material either as supporting material, reference material, or additional readings or take-home presentations from the faculty.

  • How many participants have launched their ventures?

    120+ participants from SYB Certification Programme have launched their ventures.

  • Can you provide references of participants who have attended this programme?

  • Do I get the placement at the end of the programme?

    Since the course is all about starting your own business, there is no question of a placement. The course, however, provides exposure to professionals like entrepreneurs, VCs, industry experts and other professionals familiarised with the start-up ecosystem.

  • Are the fees refunded in case if I decide to drop out of the programme?

    We do not have a refund policy.

  • What is the kind of faculty for this programme?

    The faculty for this programme is a mix of SPJIMR faculty and faculty experts drawn from the industry. SPJIMR faculty has excellent experience in teaching SME’s. We have also developed a network of Venture Capitalists, investors, marketers and others from the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

  • What are the eligibility criteria for the programme?

    If you are a graduate and interested in becoming an entrepreneur, you are eligible to apply for the programme.

  • What is the last date for application?

    WE ACCEPT APPLICATIONS ON A CONTINUOUS BASIS; hence there are no last days for applying to any of the SYB programmes. We however, advise you to apply at the earliest considering the limited seats available for the programme.

  • What is the selection procedure?

    The selection is made on the basis of information provided in the application form. We may contact you for more information if required. We seek sincere and committed participants keen to start their venture(s).

  • Will I have to appear for examinations?

    The course emphasis is on practical applications of the concepts discussed in class. We expect the participants to utilize them to get closer to launch of their venture. Though there will be no examinations and grading, the participants will be expected to make presentations and participate in discussions at different stages of the programme.

  • Will I get a Diploma?

    You will be awarded a certificate of participation after meeting the minimum attendance criteria of 75%

  • Aren't the programme durations too short to meet the programme objectives?

    Our experience of 15 years indicates this is the optimal duration. Participants too, generally feel so.

  • Do you provide funding/incubation?

    Post programme you get opportunity to network with entrepreneurs from the startup eco-system and family business ecosystem.

    SYB participants, post completion of the programme get access to Vriddhi-a unique funding accelerator platform exclusively available to participants belonging to the Centre for Family Business & Entrepreneurship (CFBE).

  • What if I have already started my venture?

    The programme helps the start-up business too. In running your own business, you must have felt the lack of management skills e.g., in cash flow, marketing, etc. that have come in the way of your achieving profitable growth. This Programme provides you the knowledge, skills and attitude for managing a growing Start-up, the mentoring to handle real life problems, and access to the entrepreneurial network

  • Will I be awarded alumnus status? What would be the benefits of being an alumnus?

    You will be an alumnus for the Centre for Family Business & Entrepreneurship – CFBE at SPJIMR. As an alumnus, you will get an access to Vriddhi-a unique accelerator platform, opportunity to participate in alumni events held periodically and become part of the active group on social media.

  • What about Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)?

    SPJIMR has been founded by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, among India’s pioneering cultural and educational institute. The faculty is very conscious of abiding by the values of the institution. Among participants, the strong bonding developed eliminates the need for NDA.

  • I have completed all admission formalities for the current batch but will not be able to attend the sessions of the current batch. Can I attend the next batch?

    Deferment to the next batch shall be considered on the case to case basis. Participants may note that all deferred decisions shall be based on the prevailing terms and conditions of the said batch.
