  • What is the PGPM programme?

    PGPM comprises 18-months with an online module for 2 months, an on-campus residential module for 12 months, followed by 4 months of Industry and International Immersion. It is offered by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) to candidates with at least three years of work experience and strong domain expertise. The programme enables participants to move to more expansive roles in general management.

  • What is the diploma awarded at graduation?

    On successfully completing the programme, a participant is awarded the ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Business Administration’ (PGDM – Business Administration).

  • What are the accreditations and approvals for the PGPM?

    PGPM is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, International- AACSB International, the oldest and one of the most widely used accrediting body in the world. PGPM is also accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), U.K. The programme is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

  • What does the PGPM programme prepare you for?

    The PGPM programme prepares candidates to lead larger teams and take on wider responsibilities in business. Typically, a PGPM participant moves from a limited exposure in a functional area to growing as a manager with broader knowledge, skills and the attitudes to take on larger roles. Most of the participants come from core technical backgrounds and have found the programme useful in transitioning into techno-functional and general management domains.

  • What is International Immersion and is it included in the curriculum?

    The three-week International Immersion module provides students with an opportunity to attend sessions in some of the top-ranked global business schools. The immersion aims to give students an insight into the global world of business. The sessions are held by faculty members from that school. In addition to the classroom sessions, the students also get an opportunity to undertake industry projects and visits to get a hands-on learning experience. This immersion is an integral part of the PGPM curriculum. The overall fee includes immersion fees. The institute will help facilitate the visa process; however, the visa process will be the individual responsibility of each student.

  • What are the eligibility criteria to apply for the PGPM programme?

    • Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a recognised university.
    • Minimum three years of relevant work experience at the time of commencement of the programme.
    • GMAT/CAT scores accepted.
    • Scores for GMAT taken between October 30, 2018 – October 30, 2023 or CAT scores for year 2020, 2021 and 2022.
    • GMAT scores have to be submitted through GMAC (Code: 6DQ-MJ-12)
    • GMAT score can be submitted by October 30, 2023

  • Which scores does the programme accept?

    PGPM accepts CAT and GMAT scores. Scores for GMAT taken between October 30, 2018 – October 30, 2023 or CAT scores for year 2020, 2021 and 2022.

  • When does the application process for the PGPM programme begin?

    Every year typically, the application process begins in April and ends in October.

  • How do I pay my application fees?

    The application fee of INR 2000 must be paid at the time of form submission. It can be paid via debit/credit card or net banking.

  • What are the documents required while filling up the application form?

    Proof of full-time work experience such as offer letter, salary slips and experience letters will have to be provided. Applicant will be required to submit proofs of work experience for all organisations worked with if he/she has worked in more than one organisation. Applicants who are entrepreneurs or own ventures, need to submit documents like income tax returns, incorporation certificates, registration certificates, etc. as proof of work experience. Academic qualifications as mentioned in the eligibility document will also have to be provided.

  • Do I need to submit a resume or letter of recommendations with my application form?

    No. The application stage does not require resume and/or letter of recommendations.

  • How do I submit my GMAT?

    GMAT scores have to be submitted through GMAC Portal. Please use the GMAT code: 6DQ-MJ-12

  • I plan to take GMAT at a later date. Can I complete my application now and submit my GMAT scores later?

    Yes, GMAT scores can be submitted after the completion of your application. Candidates are often called for interviews even without submitting a GMAT score. However, a final call on candidates’ selection into the programme will only be made after the scores are submitted. Candidates have to mandatorily submit their GMAT scores by October 30, 2023.

  • What is the interview process in brief?

    The interview process will have two rounds of personal / group interviews.

  • What are the facilities offered on-campus for the PGPM programme?

    The fully wifi-enabled campus has state of the art classrooms equipped with latest technology. The students are provided spacious and hygienic air-conditioned accommodation. The campus has a comprehensive and enabling infrastructure including a library & reading room, dining facilities, gym and other recreational facilities like sports grounds, walking tracks and a music room. Medical and health care services such as doctor on call, doctor on campus, and emergency ambulance facilities are provided.

  • Is there any special housing arrangement for married students?

    There is no provision for special housing for married students. SPJIMR provides shared hostel accommodation only for students for the duration of the course. Staying in the hostel is compulsory for all candidates.

  • Does the programme provide placement services?

    Yes. The PGPM programme has a dedicated career services team that supports students with their placement process. The career services team provides support in both preparing the students for placements as well as soliciting participation of companies for campus placement process.   • Is placement service also provided for students who have enrolled during a sabbatical?

    Yes. Placement services are provided to students who have enrolled during a sabbatical as well.

  • How do I get financial aid?

    Various banks provide loans based on the offer letter given by SPJIMR. Few partner banks also offer schemes, under which they provide educational loans to SPJIMR students without any guarantor or collateral, wherein the loan is sanctioned in the student’s name.
