PGEMP admission process

PGEMP intakes five batches every year and has rolling admissions throughout the year. For details about the 2024-25 intake, see the PGEMP batch calendar 2024-25.

The PGEMP selection process prioritises candidates’ ability to devote time and effort to this programme, as well as their managerial aptitude and maturity, ethics and values. In a participant profile, the following criteria are preferred requirements.

Academic profile:

Past academic performances and the intellectual curiosity demonstrated are important therefore, all the relevant academic records are considered to get a whole picture of the aspirants’ ability to succeed at PGEMP.

Professional development and goals:

Significant attention is given to the length of time spent in a management role, progression in job responsibilities, and total work experience to understand how the candidate has distinguished himself professionally. SPJIMR considers the experiences gained by the participants and their contributions more than the type of industry or the work done.

Personal qualities:

SPJIMR looks for personal leadership qualities, such as ethics, integrity, self-motivation, empathy, communication skills, and personal style, with special emphasis on how the participants have challenged themselves, reached beyond their comfort zone, affected a change in their organization or led a team through a process and learned from successes and failures. SPJIMR believes that accomplishments in extracurricular activities make an individual well-rounded, engaged, and motivated to make a difference.
