SPJIMR’s Centre for Family Business & Entrepreneurship (CFBE) has been the pioneer and leader in the formal learning of Family Managed Business in India since 1997, when it launched its 18- month Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGP-FMB), aimed at nurturing and developing the talent pool comprising family members, within Indian family businesses. Among the 4000+ family business alumni, SPJIMR’s FMB boasts of storied brands such as Haldirams, Bikaji, Vicco, RR Kabel, Sunpharma, Naturals, Jyoti Laboratories etc.
The Centre has also pioneered entrepreneurship in India through its Start Your Business (SYB)and Grow Your Business (GYB) Programmes, directed towards aspiring entrepreneurs, early-stage start-ups, and other start-ups to help them create and scale sustainable ventures.
Viraasat is CFBE’s marquee event to celebrate its legacy of 25 years in the family business and entrepreneurship. It seeks to provide a platform for SPJIMR’s family businesses and members of the ecosystem to get together, disseminate/gather knowledge, strengthen networks, learn about the latest trends affecting global and Indian industry and help them get future-ready. Interactions at an event like Viraasat create opportunities to strengthen the family businesses and, through them, the Indian economy – of which the family businesses are a backbone.
The theme for this year is Mission Glocal: Empowering Indian Family Businesses to lead the world. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways, will preside over the event as the chief guest.
Scheduled to be held on April 8, 2023, the agenda for Viraasat is specially designed to help its attendees gain new knowledge and explore opportunities for growth both within India and abroad. The itinerary includes presentations by trade desks and industry associations as well as plenary sessions.
The event is open for registrations to CFBE programmes participants and alumni network (PGPFMB, SYB and GYB).
