SPJIMRs Post Graduate Executive Management Programme inaugurated Batch 63 on 27th September, 2017 with participants coming from various levels of management of reputed companies like L&T, BPCL, Pidlite Industries, Numaligarh Industries etc. The Chief Guest was Mr. Kumar Padmanabhan, Chief Executive – PPG Asian Paints, India.
PGEMP has completed 15 years in executive management and has been growing since. The Dean Dr. Ranjan Banerjee addressed the participants at the inauguration and spoke of the ‘Made in India’ managers that are number two in terms of their performance globally. He said, “Research suggests that Indian managers are number two globally. A ‘VUCA’ world requires flexibility and adaptability that in the context of Indian managers is an advantage.”
“We have the ability to manage ambiguity and can grow further if we balance it with process, scalability and discipline,” he added.
The Chief Guest Mr. Kumar Padmanabhan spoke on holistic spirituality which affects how we deal with everything in our personal and professional life. He said, “Daily small acts of gratitude and random acts of kindness go a long way in shaping our perspective and how we deal with life personally and professionally.”
Dr. Preeta George, Professor – Economics and Chairperson – PGEMP spoke on the course architecture and explained the working and significance of the course to the participants.
