The SPJIMR Centre for Family Business and Entrepreneurship (CFBE) recently hosted a research presentation on ‘Reimagining family firm narratives: The role of iconology in unveiling layers of history through visual imagery and artefacts’ by Prof. Natalia Vershinina, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Deputy Director for Research at Audencia Business School, Nantes, France.
Prof. Vershinina, also an Associate Researcher at IAS Paris-Sorbonne, holds editorial roles in leading academic journals. Her presentation aimed to provide new explanatory reasoning on how iconology and artefacts shape family business narratives, highlighting their cultural and historical significance. It addressed the question: How do visual artefacts in family firms serve as rhetorical devices to preserve organisational identity, and how do their meanings evolve in response to changing family and business dynamics?
The CFBE Family Business and Entrepreneurship Research Presentation series aims to provide a platform for researchers and global scholars to exchange ideas, build networks, and collaborate on research projects through meaningful associations. Designed for seasoned professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, academics, and anyone interested in understanding the dynamics of family businesses, these research presentations offer valuable insights and knowledge on the subject.
