DoCC Completes 25 Years

April 17, 2019

SPJIMR’s Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC), completed 25 years of social impact in India this year. Under DoCC, management students are exposed to an immersion programme in the rural areas and complete their internship of social projects for 4 weeks and 2 weeks respectively with NGOs, corporate foundations and government agencies across the country.

DoCC celebrated completing 25 years with a daylong event consisting of a special DoCC Coffee Table Book released on the occasion, followed by a keynote address by Mr Rishi Pathania, Head CSR, UPL. NGOs like Sopan Trust and Aawhan Palak Sangh also performed at the event. There was an NGO Mela organised that displayed products made by the self-help groups and NGOs and also included a ‘Live Art Space’ where women made Madhubani art.

While DoCC is actively working in 26 states in India, it has also expanded into countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, and Colombia. The thematic areas of its work include education, health, infrastructure, income generation, women empowerment, social empowerment, disability, micro-finance, and environment.
