Disha Bhanot holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay with specialisation in Microfinance and Strategies for Financial Inclusion. She has a master’s degree from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, with a major in Mathematics.

In her professional journey spanning 12 years, she has held research assignments and projects as a scientist and specialised in teaching Microfinance, Development Finance, Business Statistics, and Business Research Methods to management graduates.

Her noteworthy research work is anchored on topics of critical societal importance, such as Microfinance, Financial Inclusion, Affordable Housing Finance, and Agri-Supply Chains. Her scholarly contributions have been published in leading journals and periodicals such as World Development, Housing Studies, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Economic and Political Weekly, and Forbes India.
