SPJIMR PGDM 1989 alum Sunil Bhatia, Board Member, Investor, and Former CEO of Infogain, has committed INR 10 crore towards launching the Start-up Hub. Manoj is the Executive Director of the Centre for Financial Innovation. He has been in the corporate world for close to two decades. In his 15+ years at Standard Chartered, Manoj has undertaken varied roles in Investment Banking. His latest leadership role at Standard Chartered was as Executive Director, Loan Syndicate & Distribution. He is an expert in Credit, Structuring and Institutional Sales with deep expertise in handling C-suite relationships. He was also among the founding directors of the Board of Secondary Loan Market Association (SLMA).

Varun Yadav is the Associate Head, Centre for Financial Innovation and a faculty in the Finance and Economics area at SPJIMR. His research work leverages advanced econometric and quantitative methods to gain insights into competition policy issues in banking, study the digital payments ecosystem in India, and forecast inflation using mixed-frequency data. While pursuing his doctorate at IIMA, he received the JASSO scholarship for a research visit to Hiroshima University where he studied panel-data methods to reduce bias in predictive regression models. He likes to explore topics at the interface of economics, finance, and management science.

Profile building project for 'The Infravision Foundation'
The CFI team, including Executive Director Manoj Mohan, Associate Head Vidhu Shekhar and Research Analyst Manali Phatak, have authored a white paper, “Surety Bonds: Evaluation of these instruments for diversifying risk in infrastructure financing”, as part of their profile-building project with the Infravision Foundation.
