They were among the top 100 winners in a global essay competition which drew submissions from over 300+ universities worldwide. This recognition offered them the opportunity to participate in the 53rd St. Gallen Symposium held in Switzerland. This year the central theme of the symposium and the essay competition was ‘Confronting Scarcity’.

The St. Gallen Symposium is one of the world’s most prestigious conferences, with participants from 90+ countries for cross-generational dialogue, bringing together top decision-makers from academia, business, science and politics to discuss global issues and share ideas. Additionally, our students were invited to the reception held by the Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce, a key player in fostering business relations between Switzerland and India, in Zurich at the beautiful and historic ‘Haus zum Rüden’ with members from SICC, board members from various companies, and other delegates from India and Switzerland.

Aditya Bhatia was among the top 25 winners with his essay ‘The silent epidemic of ageing alone: why should we care about care?’. In addition, the team comprising SPJIMR participants Aditya Guha and Ritik Garg, with students from other global universities, emerged victorious in the ABB and Swiss Re case challenge and received the opportunity to present their solution on-stage to the global audience, including senior executives from ABB, Accenture and Swiss Re.
