Indian Aviation Academy and SPJIMR sign Memorandum of Understanding

On October 10, 2015, the Indian Aviation Academy (IAA) and S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in New Delhi to establish a mutually beneficial strategic alliance. Broadly the association is geared to evolve and formalize a process of understanding and cooperation to develop human resources in the areas of education, training, and research.

The IAA is the joint training academy of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). The Academy works to develop the skills of the AAI, DGCA, and BCAS workforce through technological advancement and consequent refinement of operating standards and procedures including safety, security, and management techniques.

The alliance witnesses the coming together of two top institutes: the IAA, a premier training institute in Aviation Management, and SPJIMR, a leading management institute accredited by NBA, AICTE, and The Association of MBAs (AMBA), U.K. Putting ink to the Memorandum that will see SPJIMR imparting management training to the officers of AAI, BCAS, and Civil Aviation Department, Dr. Preeta George (Chairperson PGEMP / PGP-GM) said, ‘This MOU will open up new opportunities for SPJIMR and will go a long way to facilitate partnerships with several other PSUs and government departments.’
