SPJIMR is pleased to share that Snehal Shah, Professor of Organisation and Leadership Studies at SPJIMR, has been appointed to the Board of Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI) for a term of five years.
MUWCI is one of the 18 United World Colleges and Schools worldwide, located on the outskirts of Pune, India. It offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme to students from across the world who aspire to be part of the UWC movement, which seeks to make education a force that unites people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future, nurturing a global community of learners and leaders.
Speaking on the appointment, Prof. Shah said: “I am delighted to join the Board of MUWCI, an institution that places great emphasis on the holistic development of students. I value MUWCI’s commitment to nurturing thoughtful, socially conscious citizens. Its alignment with SPJIMR’s ethos makes the association particularly meaningful, and I look forward to contributing and learning from this institution.”
In this role, Prof. Shah hopes to contribute to Board deliberations on governance, capability building, academic curriculum and long-term direction, drawing on academic experience in India and the United States, while also learning from MUWCI’s strong commitment to holistic and globally engaged education.
Previously, Prof. Shah has served on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Heinz School of Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University, and on the curriculum boards of leading domestic institutions, bringing valuable governance and academic insight to this appointment. Until last year, she also served as the Associate Dean of Academics and Research at SPJIMR.
This appointment reflects Prof. Shah’s continued engagement with institutions that share a commitment to values-based education and leadership development.
