Sana Ansari holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur. Her doctoral research examined the phenomenon of fake reviews in e-commerce platforms through a customer-centric lens. Her work lies at the intersection of online consumer behaviour, misinformation and trust, drawing from behavioural theory and analytical methods to explore how individuals engage with and respond to digital content.
She has been recognised for her academic contributions, including the Outstanding Reviewer Award at the India Conference on Information Systems (InCIS). Her research has been published in reputed journals in the Information Systems (IS) domain. She has also presented her work at leading international conferences such as the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) and the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS).
Prof. Sana has also co-authored management cases published with Ivey Publishing and The Case Centre. She actively contributes to the academic community, serving as Associate Editor for PACIS and as a reviewer for leading journals such as Information Systems Frontiers and Internet Research, among others, as well as for premier conferences including International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), ECIS and PACIS.
Before joining SPJIMR, Prof. Sana was a lecturer at Deakin University GIFT City campus, where she taught postgraduate courses in data analytics, visualisation and cybersecurity. Her industry experience includes working as a Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services.
