SPJIMR’s Yoga Week 2025 proved to be a resounding success, bringing our community together in celebration of International Yoga Day. The week-long programme, held at the SPJIMR Recreation Centre, promoted mindfulness and physical wellbeing whilst fostering stronger connections among participants.
Faculty and staff enthusiastically participated in the Yoga Week activities from June 16 to 20, 2025. Certified trainer from Bhavan’s Yoga Bharati designed well-planned sessions to benefit a diverse audience, accommodating both yoga novices and seasoned practitioners.
The initiative brought together the SPJIMR community in a shared commitment to wellness. Participants embraced the opportunity to develop mindful practices that complement their academic and professional pursuits. We extend our gratitude to Bhavan’s Yoga Bharati for their continued collaboration. Their expertise and skill made each session a truly enhancing experience, guiding participants through practices designed to help relax, rejuvenate, and restore balance in daily life.
Yoga Week highlighted the profound impact of yoga on physical fitness, mental health, and emotional stability. Participants discovered the importance of regular yoga practice in achieving a balanced and stress-free lifestyle, with sessions focusing on techniques particularly relevant for working professionals’ wellbeing and mindfulness development.
About the celebration
International Yoga Day, recognised globally on June 21, celebrates the ancient practice that originated in India. SPJIMR’s extended week-long celebration created sustained opportunities for our community to invest in their wellbeing and take mindful pauses from their daily routines.
