We are delighted to share the news that the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry has invited Prof. Tulsi Jayakumar, our Executive Director at SPJIMR CFBE, to join its Knowledge (Skill and Education) Committee for the year 2024-25. This is a significant recognition of her expertise and a proud moment for all of us. The IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a highly acclaimed organisation, is known for its work in identifying opportunities, addressing critical issues, and driving sustainable growth in Indian businesses. The theme for IMC this year, as outlined by its President, Mr. Sanjaya Mariwala, is ‘Awakening – Advocacy – Awareness – Alignment – Action.’
The newly-elected committee members for 2024 – 2025 include Mr. Sanjaya Mariwala, President; Ms. Sunita Ramnathkar, Vice-President; Mr. Krutarth Shah, Chairman and Co-Chairman Mr. Dhiraj Mehra, Director for Initiatives in India; University of Notre Dame. Chairman Krutarth Shah highlighted that Prof. Tulsi Jayakumar’s experience and expertise will add immense value towards its objective of building an ecosystem that supports and encourages education equality with a focus on engaging and empowering the youth with access to the latest developmental programmes.
Mr. Mariwala elaborated that India is renewing its pledge to become a developed economy by 2047. IMC intends to play an active role in building this new India, in furthering manufacturing, sustainable enterprises, investments in agriculture, digital and AI woven economy and a growing services sector through its various programmes such as ‘Bharat Calling’, sustainability conferences and exhibitions and various reforms in banking and economics. The committee’s agenda is in perfect alignment with SPJIMR’s mission to influence managerial practice and promote value-based growth by advancing wise innovation, thereby enhancing the potential impact of this collaboration.
