A seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in derivatives and financial advisory, he founded Raghu Iyer Associates in 1985, where he serves as Principal Consultant.
In addition to his role at Raghu Iyer Associates, Raghu has worked as a derivatives specialist since January 1998, focusing on derivatives consulting, systems, valuation, and related specialities. Since August 2020, Iyer has also been an influential training specialist, offering programmes in derivatives valuation, hedging, hedge effectiveness testing, and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS advisory), and general finance.
In 2009, he co-founded FCL Search, now recognised as India’s leading executive search firm in the legal, tax, and governance sectors. In the same year, he co-founded Accounting Finance for Corporate Lawyers (AFCL), an initiative offering financial training specifically tailored for transaction lawyers and in-house counsel.
Iyer is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (FCA), having ranked third in the Inter CA and fourth in the Final CA examinations.
