SPJIMR welcomes PGPGM Batch-7

SPJIMR welcomed the Batch 7 of its Post Graduate Programme in General Management (PGPGM) at Mumbai & Delhi campus on September 2, 2023. The cohort is an interesting mix of participants from diverse industries including Automotive, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, FMCG, Electricals, Heavy Engineering, Energy, Healthcare and Pharma sectors. About 60% of the batch has more than 8 years work experience with 22% having greater than 12 years work experience.

Mr. Sanjiv Sinha, VP-HR & Head Learning and Development, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Chief Guest at the Delhi campus applauded the cohort’s desire to pursue an Executive MBA and prepare for leadership roles. He emphasised the importance of the three factors “Intent, Content and Effort” in a learning journey. He also highlighted that in the face of rapidly changing business environment and technology, learning agility and continuous upskilling is a necessity.

Mr. Atulaya Goswami, Director, HR, General Mills India Center & India Site Operations, Chief Guest at the Mumbai campus, emphasised “Drive for Success,” “Emotional Intelligence,” and “Learning Agility” as essential elements for turning potential into performance. He advised participants to identify their “Why”, develop self and environmental awareness and finally focus on developing key skills that will make them future proof.

Prof. Preeta George, Associate Dean, Executive Education, spoke about the importance of upholding personal integrity, pursuing excellence and embracing the ethos of Ubuntu, where our individuality thrives through our interconnectedness.

Prof. Ruppal W Sharma, Programme Chairperson, and Prof. Shabbir Hussain RV, Deputy Programme Chairperson, shared with the participants the programme overview and interacted with them on the need for balancing work, family and study for transformational growth.
