The PGDM Class of 2023 was given a warm welcome into the SPJIMR family this morning through a virtual orientation session. Incoming students, current students, faculty and staff were part of the session.
The event kicked off with the traditional lighting of the SPJIMR Lamp and the Student-Teacher Prayer. Dr. Sesha Iyer introduced the legacy of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan of promoting Indian culture and values around the world. SPJIMR’s Dean designate Dr. Varun Nagaraj spoke about the mission and vision of the institute and the importance of values-based growth. PGDM Chairperson, Dr. Sajeev Abraham George gave an overview of the PGDM programme architecture.
PGDM Class of 2022 students, Syeda Farheen Fatima and Swaminathan P shared their SPJIMR experiences and learnings over the past year. The incoming batch learnt the A-Z of the SPJIMR experience through a video prepared by Alcom 2018 and were taken on a virtual walkthrough of the campus via a video prepared by Tasveer – The Creative Club of SPJIMR. The participants were also introduced to the faculty and staff of the institute.
The session ended with the incoming students taking the SPJIMR oath and pledging to follow the institute’s honour code.
