SPJIMR hosted several sessions, workshops and boot camps by leading industry experts, including our alumni from diverse sectors, in July for participants across programmes. These interactive industry-connect sessions offer our participants the opportunity to gain practical insights from experienced practitioners about the contemporary trends in the business world. Sessions like these make our participants industry ready and highlight SPJIMR’s consistent endeavours to offer management education beyond academics and influence managerial practice.

Supply Chain Control Towers (SCCT) and Digital Twins with ATCI experts

Accenture Technology Consulting India (ATCI) and SPJIMR PGPM collaborated to discover the opportunities of Supply Chain Control Towers (SCCT) and Digital Twins in today’s dynamic business landscape. The collaboration was facilitated by ATCI experts, including Mr. Sanjeev Narsipur, MD, Tech Consulting, Platform Advisory and Mr. Nikhil Kumar Goyal, Senior Manager, Connected Solutions Advisory, along with PGPM alumnus Mr. Ashish Kumar Rath, Technology Consultant, Enterprise & Industry Technology and Mr. Eshan Gupta, Recruiting Specialist, ATCI campus. This insightful session with a used case approach enabled our participants to know how the capabilities of the entire supply chain can be enhanced and harnessed in a sustainable way.

Vartalaap with Mr. Gaurav Sharma

SPJIMR recently hosted an engaging Vartalaap session with PGPM alumnus Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Director & Global Head – Hybrid Cloud Products, Offerings & GTM at HCLTech. The session focused on understanding the knowledge and skillset required for both technical and non-technical roles. In the session, Mr. Sharma explained the relevant details of Cloud technology and imparted practical tips for excelling in both technical and non-technical positions.

Exploring professional opportunities with Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar

SPJIMR recently hosted Rajesh Jejurikar, a distinguished alumnus and the Executive Director & CEO, Mahindra Group, for a guest session. During the session, he provided an insightful overview of the organisation’s diverse sectors and global impact. He also emphasised the various career opportunities available within Mahindra Group.

Bootcamp on Technology Consulting

The Consulting Club hosted an insightful bootcamp by PGPM alum Mr. Vishwajeet Sinha, Management Consultant at Infosys Consulting on “Technology Consulting”. Mr. Sinha shared real-world examples of a typical technology consulting project, what are the core skills of a technology consultant and how to ace Tech Consulting interviews. He also highlighted the importance of structuring thoughts and problem-solving abilities in consulting interviews. The session gave our participants the chance to interact with Mr. Vishwajeet Sinha and gain deeper understanding of the tech consulting world and the know-how of it.

Change Management vital to navigate dynamic business landscapes

The SPJIMR Career Services Team organised an interactive session with Mr. Manish Deshmukh, Strategic Business Change Manager, HSBC and Ms. Deepali Patkar, Strategic Business Change Manager, HSBC shared extremely valuable knowledge about change management and the significance of adjusting to the constantly evolving business environment. The discussions centred on the unique difficulties faced by businesses today, including the rapid speed of change, shorter cycles of innovation. The key takeaway for our participants was whether the changes are operational or strategic and how crucial it is to possess expertise in change management to maintain competitiveness in the dynamic business landscape of today.

Artificial Intelligence and Product Management

The Product Management Club organised an interactive session on “AI and Product Management” by PGPM alumnus and industry leader Mr. Vaibhav Goyal, Cofounder & CEO, Predixion AI. Participants got the opportunity to discuss the various aspects of product management and seek answers to all their queries. ‘When it comes to product management it is all about execution’, was a key takeaway for the cohort from the session.

Discovering the essentials for Product Management (PM) roles

PGPM 2023 cohort organised a captivating CoPAL session with Mr. Anurag Pandey, Senior Staff Product Manager at GE HealthCare. The session focused on “Understanding the Knowledge and Skills required for PM roles.” Mr. Pandey shared his extensive experience as a product manager and provided valuable insights into the world of product management. He covered various types of PM roles in the market and offered guidance on transitioning to PM roles from non-PM backgrounds. Additionally, he shared invaluable tips for acing product management interviews.

Marketing lessons from industry experts

Marketing specialisation cohort gained real-world insights from PGDM alum Harshal Jain, Sr. Product Manager & PR Lead, Nivea India. He outlined the planning to implementation journey with examples from the top brands he has handled. He emphasised that the success of any good strategy depends on its implementation. This session was facilitated by SPJIMR faculty Prof. Ruppal W Sharma.
