Events

SPJIMR Centre for Innovation in Sustainable Development (CISD), in collaboration with OJAS XVI, SPJIMR’s annual management festival, organised “Greenovate”, a sustainability-related event. The event allowed the participating teams to develop transformative solutions for real-world business challenges, making a tangible impact on our planet and its future. It witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 550 students from various corners of India and embarked on a captivating journey.

The competition comprised of three rounds:

• ‘The Green Treasure Hunt’, where teams participated in an innovation and sustainability-themed quiz.
• The ‘Executive Summary’ round pushed teams to the forefront of circular economy and innovation, demanding creative solutions to real-world problems in the apparel industry.
• The National Finals witnessed the qualifying teams presenting detailed strategies to an accomplished panel of judges, including Prof. Prabhat Pani, Prof. Arindam Das, and Prof. Bikramjit Ray Chaudhuri.

The finalists were challenged to develop a long-term strategy and corresponding short-term goals for the posed problem. Their solutions were rigorously evaluated on asset of criteria consisting of environmental impact, circular economy integration, innovation, feasibility, implement-ability, and the impact on stakeholders.
The final three winners were

• Winner: MiGreens (Institute: MICA, Ahmedabad)
• 1st runner up: Team Da Vinci [Institute: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune]
• 2nd runner-up: Advik [Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), IIT Bombay]
